Stop Drop Think 2021 1st Quarter Newsletter

February 2021

2021 is off and running and we are looking forward to a year filled with hope and positive change.  Read below to catch up on all things Three Trees.

Due to COVID, its been a minute since we have seen everybody. We wanted to introduce (or reintroduce) the different people who shape Three Trees. Our team consists of Ben, Tyleshia, Jamesa, Bill, Kevin, Tiffany, Melissa and Jessica. Ben is our Founder and developed the STOP DROP THINK forensic counseling model. Tyleshia is our Assistant Director, and a licensed social worker. Jamesa is our licensed professional counselor and serves as our Clinical Supervisor. Bill is our Technical Director and provides the technical support we all need. Kevin is a licensed social worker and assists with groups and individual services. Jessica is our social media consultant, Melissa supports our groups, and Tiffany is our Administrative Assistant and the first face our client’s see when they come to the office. We are currently holding all classes virtually to support the health of our clients and employees during COVID and are planning to return to in person classes as the year progress.  See www.stopdropthink.com for the most recent class schedule or give us a call at (803) 207 0558. Follow us on our IG page @stopdropthink or look for our hashtags #stopdropthink #changeexperts.
In the beginning of 2020 we began offering companies and organizations the opportunity to engage with us to utilize all we have learned about how humans change.  This has become a popular service of ours and we have really enjoyed supporting organizations in realizing their goals. If you feel your organization could benefit from sharpening its vision, supporting professional resilience, better understanding the value of inclusion and diversity, or just need help reimagining your workforce and how you engage with them, please give us a call so we can support all that you do to support your community.
We are currently putting the last touches on a resilience journal that participants in our forensic counseling programs can use to support their desire to change.  The journal will encourage participants to engage with the ingredients of resilience as a daily habit through structured journal entries and inquiry. Many participants in our programs have very high scores on the Adverse Childhood Experience (ACEs) assessment and these resilience activities are designed to help them with the challenges posed by high ACEs scores. If you currently use our curriculums be sure to contact us about how to integrate these new journals.  If you are interested in hosting Stop Drop Think classes in your community please give us a call or email us at ben@stopdropthink.com.
Last Fall we added another group to our free mindful services called Black Girls Breathe.  This group is designed for self identified women of color and meets to practice mindfulness and resilience while reading and discussing books related to the challenges discussed in group. The group is facilitated by our clinical supervisor, Jamesa Motley. The group meets on Thursdays from noon till 1pm and is held virtually.  You can access the link for the group on the mindfulness page on our website at www.stopdropthink.com or email us at info@stopdropthink to learn more.
Take a walk through the park with Ben and learn about the different stages we go through when we attempt change.
